Holly and Marcy are two friends that share a mutual obsession with fabric and creating handmade, one-of-a-kind items. They put their creative minds to work in mixing and matching fabrics to create unique garments and handbags.
Holly is a handbag and girls clothing designer and the mastermind behind the label Laci Jean, with a distinguished eye for color and putting fabrics together. Each and every handbag and girls apparel item is designed 100% by her, the colors and fabrics a reflection of her vision and inspiration.
Marcy designs children’s clothing and accessories under the brand name kai-ya (kids and infants-young apparel), with both its name and inspiration coming from her four year-old daughter. She utilizes textures and colors to create unique girls’ clothing and will soon be launching into the wide-open market of boys’ apparel.
Our intent in opening this shop is to not create any one item exactly the same twice. There will be a combination of fabrics within each garment while still allowing for easy washing and wear. This will only add to the beauty of handmade and uniqueness of each item.
